RCOE partners with pioneers in mining technology

Most recently, we have had the pleasure of celebrating the launch of our commercial partnership with mining, tunnelling and drilling technology leaders - Strata Worldwide.

 Who is Strata Worldwide?

Since their establishment in 1992, Strata has spent decades developing and enhancing a varied range of products that are specially designed and formulated for the purposes of promoting high levels of safety, providing support and sustaining connectivity while working in underground environments.

In the coming weeks, Strata will be installing a range of industry-leading technologies in our underground simulator, including:

·         Strata Double and Triple Notch Link N Lock Secondary Roof support.

·         Strata Hazard Avert Proximity Detection System.

·         Strata Connect Underground WIFI communication system, along with a WIFI Cellular phone.

·         Strata Miner Communicator (MC2), which is used in conjunction with the Strata Connect WIFI System. This communicator allows all underground coal mine to have the texting ability underground, with a small handheld device.

·         Strata 4 Man Emergency Refuge Chamber.

·         Strata Rocprops, another form of Secondary Roof Support.

·         Strata Certified Cap Lamps, that works in conjunction with our Hazard Avert Proximity detection system.

 How will this technology benefit those utilising the underground simulator?

The equipment and technology provided by Strata will assist in creating a realistic underground environment, consistent with true to life mining conditions. In addition to traditional technology, Strata has also made available their cutting-edge technology for users to become familiar with the latest trends in collision avoidance and mining communication, ensuring a safe and productivity-driven working environment.
