The workshop will cover the foundational elements of carbon accounting, decarbonisation and reporting. We’ve broken it down into key areas:

·    What are greenhouse gases (GHGs)?

·    What is a greenhouse gas inventory and what are the 3 scopes?

·    How do I define carbon boundaries for my business?

·    What data do I need?

·    How are GHG and carbon emissions calculated and how do I interpret my emissions results?

·    How can I start decarbonising?

·    What are the requirements for reporting on greenhouse gas emissions.

The workshop will also provide information on the benefits of joining the ecoBiz program.

ecoBiz is a free sustainability program, created in partnership with the Queensland Government to help businesses audit their resource use, manage carbon emissions and save on costs while reducing waste, water and energy consumption.
